Chris and Wendy Blakeman and family have been living in the Charente Maritime region of South West
France for 16 years, keeping busy by building, renovating and managing self catering gites, cottages and
villas in the St Jean d'Angely area. All our properties are managed personally by ourselves, so whichever
gite or villa you choose you can be sure you will receive personal service and a warm welcome.
We have a variety of self catering properties to choose from to suit all tastes. Our Child friendly gites are
perfect for families with young children, set in a family friendly environment with swings, slide, sand pit,
trampoline and even a pirate ship as well of course as the heated swimming pools, an essential for families
with young children in the off peak seasons of June and September.
If your family is older and you are after a little bit of luxury, then our well appointed villas, some with private
swimming pools will be more your style, with spacious, modern accommodation and all the comforts of
home. For couples or families preferring to be on their own, our stand alone cottages and villas, all with
pools, are worth a look and all our properties are an easy drive to the coast, beaches and world famous
cities such as La Rochelle and Bordeaux.

restaurants and bars. It is set centrally in
the Charente Maritime region of the Poitou
Charente; approximately 1hrs drive from
the coast, beaches and La Rochelle and
1hr30 north east of Bordeaux. All our
cottages and villas are between a 10 min
to 30 min drive of St Jean d'Angely and
are in a great location to visit this beautiful

Most of our cottages, gites and villas have swimming pools either private or shared. They are all cleaned
and maintained by Chris who takes great pride in their daily maintenance. Some are heated, so you can
take advantage of the cheaper prices and quieter seasons yet still enjoy the pleasure of swimming. Our
pools which are not heated easily reach 27c in summer anyway and provide a refreshing escape from the
heat !

All our cottages and villas are self
catering accommodation. They are
approx. a 4 hr drive from St Malo, 6hrs
from Caen and 8hrs from Calais. We
have a number of airports within easy
driving distance; La Rochelle, Poitiers
and Bordeaux, with Limoges and
Nantes a little further. For detailed
